MC Reunited at Pioneer East

Three days before Ana's departure for the US, the group met again. But this time it was in Marvin's pad at Pioneer East Tower. I brought rice and chopseuy for the potluck dinner. I brought Keith, too. It wasn't hard to convince him to join me in the all-girl night out, after all his office is just across the condo. :P

The other girls brought pansit, bbque, cake, KFC and pastries. As usual, it was a fun night with the occasional teasing and shreaking, hehe.

Here I am with my best buddies:

Marvin (in green) is our host for the night. He loves to make funny comments, while Ana (in fuchsia) just listens in. Except for Marvin & Ana, all of us are married. Our topics that night ranged from married life to kids. One would mistake it for a PTA meeting, haha.

Bon voyage, Ana! Hope to see you in the near future. We are sure gonna miss yah! :)

Twins back at TPC

Monday, July 21, 2008

Before you even ask...

Yes, we were surprised to have twins.
Yes, we have our hands full...both of them.
Yes, we are twice blessed.
No, they don't always share. Do your kids?
Yes, we get a lot of attention.
Yes, we will have more kids if we want to.
And... YES, WE ARE ALSO GLAD THEY'RE OURS AND NOT YOURS!

Gone for the weekend

We had little preparation for this trip. It was an impromptu kind of thing. We just brought our towels, a change of clothes and sunblock and we were off to Munting Buhangin Beach Camp in Nasugbu, Batangas. It's the most accessible beach that accepts walk-in guests. After eating breakfast at Mcdo in Tagaytay, we bought pork liempo and charcoal at Maharlika Market, then bought film (yes, for the camera), soda, ice, paper plates, plastic utensils and cups from the nearest 7-11 store. We reached Munting Buhangin at 10am and we were immediately greeted by the sound of karaoke, hehe. Usually, this place is jam-packed, but today, we were just about five families in the entire resort. And we were very lucky because the weather was perfect and the beach was peaceful. :D

But the best part of it all, Carlos agreed to swim for the very first time.

Vito, however, was satisfied playing on the sand.

We grilled the liempo and ordered rice and sinigang from the in-house restaurant. After lunch, we went back to swim. The water was perfect and we stayed on the parts that had no rocks. At 3pm, we started wrapping up for home. Everybody enjoyed despite the long trip. There's definitely going to be a next time :)

Nightcap at SideBar Cafe

After watching The Dark Knight, we went to meet our friends at SideBar Cafe in El Pueblo - Keith and I's fave chillout spot. I was still high about Batman and kept on telling everyone how good it was, hehe. I had to control myself from giving out spoilers coz they haven't seen it yet. :P

We stayed until 12 midnight and the boys challenged themselves with four shooters that tasted like (1) tuseran (2) tuseran with ginseng and extract of chicken (3) rhea alcohol and (4) lactacyd, hahaha! I didnt take part in that challenge as I was very satisfied with my frozen daiquiris. :) As for the pulutan, we had Sausage and Onions, Sweet Chili Half Moons, Cheese Stilletos and Sidebar Nachos. It was a fun night. :D

Today, we watched The Dark Knight at The Podium. It stars Christian Bale as Batman, Heath Ledger as The Joker and Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face. It's a very cool, entertaining movie, with great special effects. My favorite scene was the one with the two boats :) It's my best movie so far! :)

Lunch at CPK Trinoma

Today, my officemates and I had lunch at CPK Trinoma. We feasted on Clam Chowder, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Classic Caesar Salad, Jambalaya, BBQ Chicken Pizza, California Club Pizza and Portobello Mushroom Ravioli. But what I loved the most were the Fettucine with Garlic Cream Sauce and White Pizza, yummm! :D I also loved the Raspberry Ice Tea, wherein I had two refills. I repeat, two refills. Hahaha! I was super bochog after eating for an hour. And if that wasn't enough, we headed to Conti's for some dessert. ;)
