Down with fever and cough

You can really tell when the boys are sick. They are tahimik, well-behaved, malambing and ayaw magpa-baba. We have instructed the yayas that if they notice these things, they should notify us immediately. The bedroom is then transformed into a baby clinic with the nebulizer here, medicines there, thermometer, cotton, wash cloth, change of clothes everywhere. I suspect it's all because of TEETHING. Oh and the bad weather is not helping either.

Vito got sick on Wednesday night. He had fever (38+), dry cough and vomiting episodes. On Friday morning, we brought the twins to the hospital. Their pedia prescribed him the ff:

1ml of tempra drops for every 4 hours if temp is 39
1ml of tempra drops for every 6 hours if temp is 37.8+
Prolix 2.5ml - twice a day
Ventolin Nebulization - 1 nebule every 2am/8am/2pm/8pm (for 4 days).

His fever is gone, but the cough is still there. He already took a bath yesterday. Important notes for next time: He vomits the grape flavor of tempra. He prefers the orange flavor, but do not mix this with milk because he will vomit it too. When nebulizing, he must be seated with his back straight. If you neb him while he is lying down, he will vomit.

Carlos got sick on Saturday. He has fever and dry cough. His medicines are:

1.2ml of tempra drops for every 4 hours if temp is 39
1.2ml of tempra drops for every 6 hours if temp is 37.8+
Prolix 3ml - twice a day
Ventolin Nebulization - twice a day

When they are very hot, we just wipe them off with wet towel, immediately followed by a dry towel. Everything pays off when the fever is gone. It's like nothing happened. They are back to their usual makulit, malikot, curious, happy, dancing selves. Nakakaloka. :P

I hope they get well completely soon coz it's really challenging taking care of two sick babies. There's the round o'clock bantay, which includes pagbubuhat until your back breaks, and being creative when it's time to take the meds.

Grocery shopping at SM Taytay

Sunday is family day and today we went grocery shopping at SM Taytay. I noticed the goods here are cheap(est). Probably because this mall is just new, and it is located in Rizal :P

The coolest feature here is the push-car for the toddlers. We didn't bring the twin-stroller because it is bulky and so the push-car was a big help for us as we didn't have to carry the heavyweight champ, Carlos, hehe. Here he is giving Shumi a run for his money :P

Kuya Vito is in the background making sure that the lock is secured. Or is he trying to open the lock so he can grab the steering wheel!? Bwahaha.

Vito and Carlos' Favorite Toys

Got this tag from Jacque :)

Here are the rules:

Post a photo of your baby with her/his first ever favorite/comfort toy. Write some details of your fondest memory of your baby and her toy. This will make a good moment when your baby grows up! Lastly, don’t forget to add the link to your website’s at the end of the page. I’m sure many moms would love to see your sites, too!

Vito and Carlos have lots of toys that will last a lifetime, hahaha! Most of these are gifts from my baby shower, their birth, their baptism and their 1st birthday.

They love the playgym, blocks and balls. They also love to play with non-infant toys like a flashlight and marker. But their hands down favorite is our cellphones :P

I remember, there was a time Vito would poke Carlos as if he was a toy, Haha! :) So I would tell him, "Kuya Vito, This is Carlos.. He is not a toy okay, he's your brother." Hehehe..

Passing this now to Jeremy, Djuan and Joaquin.. What are your favorite toys? :)

Happy Birthday, Dong!

She is a thoughtful, dependable and loyal friend, a good listener and a great cook. She can be mataray, but has a big heart.

There's never a dull moment with her, esp with her quirky comments, hehe. And she is never late coz she drives like hell.

Happy Birthday Dong may you stay sweet forever! :) Hindi ko na bibilangin ang birthday candles kase baka bukas pa ako matapos... LOL! :D
